Description

This tool helps program planners and practitioners assess the applicability of research evidence to their local setting. It provides a set of criteria for external validity, supplemented by a series of questions to assess generalizability and considerations in the application of evidence to the local setting and population.

Steps for Using Method/Tool

The tool guides users through 16 questions categorized in four domains:

  1. Population
  2. Intervention
  3. Outcomes for decision making
  4. Maintenance and institutionalization of the intervention
