Description

This framework provides a collaborative, iterative management tool to support evidence-informed decision making. The framework helps policy-makers better understand the need for high-quality evidence to support decision making. It also allows researchers and data collectors to contextualize how their work will benefit the policy process.

Steps for Using Method/Tool

The tool guides users through seven steps:

  1. Identify the need to link data with decisions.
  2. Create an internal plan to respond to the need.
  3. Engage stakeholders.
  4. Plan the approach for implementing the framework.
  5. Facilitate creation of the framework.
  6. Build capacity to use the framework as a management tool.
  7. Monitor and document results of using the framework.
