Public Health +

Public Health + is a database of only high quality pre-appraised studies and reviews relevant to public health. This database was designed to help busy public health practitioners access high quality and newsworthy evidence.

Articles in Public Health+ are first screened by McMaster University’s Health Information Research Unit for McMaster+. This process involves critically appraising articles from over 110 medical and allied health academic journals. Only articles deemed by experts to be methodologically sound, newsworthy and relevant to public health are included in the Public Health+ database.

Relevance is rated on a scale of 1 to 7, with 7 indicating that the article is directly and highly relevant to public health.

Newsworthiness is rated on a scale of 1 to 7, with 7 indicating that the article contains useful information that most practitioners in public health are unlikely to already know.
