This tool addresses strategies for engaging the media, civil society and the public to support evidence-informed policy making (EIPM).

Steps for Using Method/Tool

The tool guides users through three questions:

What strategies can be used when working with the mass media to inform the public regarding policy development and implementation?
What strategies can be used when working with civil society groups to inform and engage them in policy development and implementation?
What methods can be used to involve consumers in policy development and implementation?

These summaries are written by the NCCMT to condense and to provide an overview of the resources listed in the Registry of Methods and Tools and to give suggestions for their use in a public health context.
