Description

This tool monitors and measures health inequalities in Canada. It includes data on indicators of health status and health determinants. The data are stratified by the social and economic characteristics that are meaningful for public health programming.

Steps for Using Method/Tool

Data can be filtered by health status, health determinants, and national versus provincial or territorial. The interactive tool prompts users to select indictors based on:

  • Geography
  • Health status or health determinant
  • Stage in the life course
  • Stratifier
  • Measure

These summaries are written by the NCCMT to condense and to provide an overview of the resources listed in the Registry of Methods and Tools and to give suggestions for their use in a public health context.
