This comprehensive guide provides a checklist for critically appraising qualitative or mixed methods systematic reviews. The tool builds on existing tools by incorporating principles of reflexivity into the review process.

Steps for Using Method/Tool

The checklist guides users through 17 questions organized under the following headings:

  • Screening questions
  • Trustworthiness of the study
  • Results of the review
  • Relevance at the local level
  • Limitations
