This framework outlines a methodology to address how high-quality advisory reports should be produced to be used in evidence-informed policy making. The framework provides steps, principles and guidelines for a standardized, practical approach to scientific advice.

Steps for Using Method/Tool

The framework guides users through seven steps:

  1. Frame the issue.
  2. Plan the process.
  3. Draft the report.
  4. Formulate the recommendations.
  5. Review the report.
  6. Publish the report.
  7. Assess the impact.
